Laser Surgery

At Simpson Veterinary Clinic we use laser surgery for all procedures. The benefits for having laser surgery done for your loved one are many reasons. They will experience less pain than if the surgery was to be done the more traditional way. This is done by sealing the nerve endings. It also reduces bleeding as the beam cauterizes and seals small blood vessels as it cuts. Swelling is reduced as there is no physical contact between the laser and the surgical site. Due to the high temperatures laser acts as an antibacterial agent thus eliminating microorganisms. As a result, a quicker recovery is experienced by both pet and owner.
